Dryline — Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Dryline ("Dryline," "we," "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use dryline.farm and related services (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to this policy.

1. Who we are

Dryline is operated by Dryline Technologies LLC, a Montana limited liability company. We are based in Winnett, Montana. You can reach us by email at pk@dryline.farm, or by mail at 588 Kiehl Ranch Road, Winnett, Montana 59087.

2. Information we collect

Information you give us:

• •Account information — your email address and a password, or you may sign in with a one-time email code or with Google. Authentication is handled through Supabase. If you sign in with Google, Google shares your email address with us; we do not receive your Google password.
• •Ranch records — the records you and the people on your ranch enter or that your registered devices report: your ranch name and home county, places and fields, devices, events and readings, jobs, feeding, hay, rain, herd and operation details, and similar entries. These records belong to you (see Section 4).
• •Communications — feedback you submit through our in-app feedback widget (which also records the page you were on and your browser type to help us reproduce issues).

Information collected automatically:

• •Usage and device data — pages viewed, features used, approximate location derived from IP, and browser/device type, collected through Vercel Web Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand and improve the Service.
• •Device readings — hardware you register with Dryline (tank sensors, field trackers, and similar) reports readings, timestamps, and, where the device has a GPS fix, coordinates, into your ranch ledger.
• •Cookies — we use a small number of cookies, mainly to keep you signed in. See Section 7.

Voice recordings — if a voice entry feature is enabled for your account, a recording is processed to text so the text can be saved as a record. The audio is not retained beyond that processing.

We do not collect government identifiers (such as Social Security or FSA farm numbers), bank or payment-card numbers, or sensitive financial account information through the Service.

3. How we use information

We use information to:

• •create and maintain your account and keep you signed in;
• •keep your ranch records and show you summaries built from them;
• •show public county reference information — drought, USDA program indicators and estimates, weather, and markets;
• •send you transactional messages (sign-in codes, account notices) and the email alerts you ask for;
• •operate, secure, debug, and improve the Service using analytics and your feedback;
• •comply with law and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. Your ranch records

Your ranch records belong to you. We use them only to provide and improve the Service to you. We do not sell them, and we do not share them with third parties except the processors needed to run the Service (Section 5). Everyone you add to your ranch can see that ranch's records; other ranches cannot. You can export your records at any time by contacting us.

5. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

• •With processors who handle data on our behalf, by category:
• •Hosting — Vercel: runs the site, plus Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights.
• •Database — Supabase: authentication and the database that holds your records.
• •Email — Resend: sign-in codes, account notices, and alert emails.
• •Sign-in — Google: only when you choose to sign in with Google.
• •Map tiles — OpenStreetMap: serves map images; receives your device IP when a map loads.

These providers may use your information only to provide services to us. No payment processor is in use; if one is added, this policy will be updated first.

• •For legal reasons — to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, or protect the rights, safety, and property of Dryline, our users, or others.
• •In a business transfer — if we are involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

6. Data from public sources

The Service displays data from public sources such as the U.S. Drought Monitor, NOAA, the National Weather Service, USDA, and market reports. That data is about geographic areas and markets, not about you, and is governed by those sources' own terms.

7. Cookies

We use cookies primarily to keep you signed in (Supabase session cookies). You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling them may affect sign-in and some features.

8. Data retention

We keep your account information and ranch records for as long as your account exists. When you ask us to delete your account, active records are deleted within 30 days of your request. Residual copies in encrypted daily backups purge within a further 7 days. We may retain limited information as required by law or for legitimate business purposes (for example, security logs). Our processors may store and process data in the United States or other countries.

9. Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information, including per-ranch access controls in the database. No method of transmission or storage is fully secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Your choices and rights

• •Access / update — you can view and update your account information and ranch records in the Service.
• •Export — you can ask for a copy of your ranch records at any time.
• •Deletion — you can request deletion of your account and personal data by contacting us (Section 13).
• •Email — you can stop email alerts in your profile settings or via the link in those emails; you may still receive transactional messages tied to your account.
• •State privacy rights — depending on where you live (e.g., California and other states), you may have additional rights to access, delete, correct, or opt out of certain processing. To exercise them, contact us (Section 13).

11. Children

The Service is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 13.

12. Changes

We may update this policy. We'll post the new effective date and, for material changes, provide reasonable notice.
